This stamp was born after the visit to the Postal and Telegraphic Museum of the Mitteleuropa, in Trieste. I chose to work on the personification of the Post, the protagonist of the beautiful nineteenth-century painting placed in the central building’s hall.
I decided to reinterpret it in a modern way, using stencils and sprays in order to make analogical mails more attractive for young people.
After several attempts of image cut and color, I decided for an overlap of three colors (black, red and blue) slightly out-of-phase to give an effect of dynamism. I decided to write the anniversary date (the museum’s tenth birthday) with a red stencil.
My stamp received an award from Poste Italiane (the Italian postal service) and was printed as celebratory limited edition postcards.
